UK Open Markets aims to promote, support and facilitate the use of (1) free and fair contracts, (2) real currencies and (3) free open & accessible markets as part of establishing justice and a truly free society.
We organise and promote market and trade events of all descriptions as we feel that it is the entrepreneurial spirit along fair trade practices that will ultimately be a major factor in the transformation of our societies for the better, directly tackling poverty, crime injustice and other societal ills

UK Open Markets also supports a number of specific initiatives that aim to lessen the negative impact that banks, financial organisations and some of the major corporations have on communities both in the UK and abroad. These initiatives involve promoting the increased use of barter, real commodity swaps and items with their own intrinsic value as currency, and in particular gold and silver in commercial transactions.
